Show & Tell
I signed up for Show & Tell last week… then it snuck up on me!!
My Show & Tell is the Alabama River… I can never remember not being in a boat or on a beach on the Alabama River. I grew up a river-rat (so-to-speak)… My Daddy loves the river. We were there every time he was off of work (and sometimes after work). My brother and I learned very young how to ski and to enjoy tubes and the various other river toys!!
I took these pictures a couple of weeks ago when we went home for vacation (you can see more pics HERE.) Sitting out on the deck and listening to the soft flow of the river, the beautiful songs of the multitude of birds, and watching the sun rise on the Alabama River!! What peace that brings me~ Such serenity early in the morning!!
Be sure to vist Kelli and Mary to find out more information about their Show & Tells.

Wow, thanks for sharing those pics!
Alabama is a part of the states I have never been to. It sounds heavenly and I would be right there with you on the inter tubing. I have inter tubed down the Anchor Point River in Alaska . (0=

Do you get there very often now? The pictures are lovely!
What lovely, peaceful scenes! It must be nice to have a river so accessible!
Sure looks peaceful & nice. We live near the Arkansas River but with all the dams up above Tulsa a lot of the time we don’t have much water in it. This year we do because we had 30 consequetive days of rain!!

Looks like a beautiful serene getaway!!
Oh, how nice! I’ve never been to Alabama (I’m in WA state), but it looks very dreamy and relaxed. Are there creatures in those still waters?
That’s a great picture. Dh and I will be going to Alabama next weekend. Only for a day, the youngest brother is getting married. More, less a fly in & fly back out that night. Really enjoyed my visit and seeing your Show & Tell today.

Gina,
That part of Alabama river really seems to be a relaxing place to stay at! I enjoy going back to my childhood spots, too! These moments are full of memories and how great it is that you are even able to share them with your kids, too!
Best wishes from Germany,
Anita
